Universal Storage System

Every closet system on the shelf was heavy, fussy, or needed three walls to install. So we invented one that didn't.

Starting in 2009, VIZ founder Eric Scott co-invented a modular storage and shelving system built around a single idea: make it lightweight enough for one person to carry out of the store, and strong enough that it never needs the floor or a side wall to hold it up. Molded polycarbonate panels hang from one J-track on any wall — a 29-part kit weighing roughly 45 pounds that carries loads over 1,800 pounds once installed.

VIZ took it the whole distance: from the first concept sketches through the patent filings, the investor presentations that raised the capital, packaging design, product launch, and the marketing that followed — including a complete instruction manual built entirely in 3D.

The system originally reached market as KiO Storage. In 2023 the patents, intellectual property, and injection molds were assigned back to Visualize Graphics, Inc. VIZ now owns the portfolio outright, with a relaunch under new branding in development.
